Environmental Policy
Dowding & Plummer Limited recognises that respect for the environment must form an integral part of overall business strategy.
We will actively seek to reduce the impact of our business on the environment to its lowest practical minimum by giving special consideration to the following:
ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation
energy efficiency measures e.g. Water and Energy management systems, heating controls
waste Minimisation in order to reduce air, water & land pollution, e.g. recycling of cardboard, paper, waste oil
efficient product design to minimise packaging & pollution
use of Recycled Materials
environmental Training, raising awareness of employees
e.g. COSHH, WEEE, RoHS,Battery Regulations
promoting and supporting employee environmental initiatives e.g. 'cycle scheme'
pollution Reduction
a positive policy for safety in the workplace
suppliers who can,wherever possible,demonstrate good environmental practices
promoting and supporting employee environmental initiatives e.g.'cycle scheme'
minimising congestion and pollution by good fleet management e.g. route planning, procurement of low emission vehicles.
This policy will be reviewed annually in order to ensure it remains effective and appropriate as part of the Management Review of Quality System effectiveness
This policy is communicated to all staff via in notice boards and induction training, with overall responsibility for the policy & its implementation being held by myself.
