Colour Coded Machinery
Victor are pleased to announce the launch of their colour coded range of cleaning machinery.
Colour coding is nothing new in cleaning and is an important tool in preventing cross contamination, however, so far the benefits of the practice of colour coding has been limited to small or disposable items such as cloths, gloves or mops.
Victor have launched a range of machinery that can be purchased in colours coded to the traditional system. Historically machinery has been suited in the colours of that particular manufacturer and occasionally some own labelling has allowed the colour to be the livery of a single customer.
Generally the concept of buying machinery in certain colours has meant large minimum orders but as Victor are true manufacturers, based in the UK with full control over the production process from start to finish we have the capability to produce small numbers of machines in different colours with no minimum order quantity for you the customer.
Currently in the colour coded range we have a choice of Scrubber Driers, a Carpet Cleaner, HEPA Tub Vacuums, Wet Vacuums, Upright vacuums and a large selection of Rotary Machines including the Multispeed. For full details of the machines available please click here.
Machinery is available in blue, green, yellow and of course Victor red. As well as the benefits of knowing which area machinery should be used in to avoid cross contamination colour coding can be used to demonstrate that a machine belongs to particular buildings block or individual floor. How many times has a machine gone 'walking' or been 'borrowed' without being returned to its original location. Colour coding makes the machines more visible and can help to flag up and prevent unauthorised use.
Red is used for bathrooms, washrooms, showers, toilet areas and bathroom floors.
Yellow is used in the NHS for Isolation areas but it is also used as an extra colour for sites to specify for their own use.
Blue is used for general areas including ward areas, departments, offices and genral public areas. In the NHS it is also used for basins in public areas.
Green is used for catering departments, kitchen areas and areas used for food consumption.
