Mondu is a Berlin-based fintech company that enables B2B merchants and marketplaces to offer Buy Now, Pay Later payment methods to their business customers. These methods let customers buy goods and services and pay for them at a later date. Mondu’s payment methods include purchase on account by bank transfer, purchase on account by SEPA direct debit and purchase by installments. Merchants get paid promptly after placing an order with Mondu and are thus protected from the risk of default. They also save themselves from operational tasks involved in dunning and collection procedures.

Mondu offers improved cash flow management with flexible payment terms, instant approval, no upfront costs, and 0% interest on 30-day credit. It provides clear fees, accessibility across channels, and helps reduce long-term costs, enhancing purchasing power and accelerating ROI.

30 Days Credit or Monthly Instalments of 3, 6 or 12 months

There is no cost to the customer for this, simply make your purchase via our website and pay the invoice 30 days later.

The cost is a service charge depending on how many instalments you'd prefer to pay in. Depending on whether you choose 3 / 6 / 12 months, the cost to the customer is 2%. 4% and 8% (Longer the plan the higher the %)

Initially Mondu can be used on orders over £100 but under £15,000. This is subject to a business credit check.

You'll need to be set up as a LTD company and have some trading history.

After selecting a Mondu payment method for your B2B online purchase, we send you an email to provide you with the relevant information regarding your purchase.

Invoice payment As soon as we receive your invoice from the merchant, we will send you an email with further information about the payment process. Please note that the payment is made to Mondu (not to the merchant). We ask you to make sure that the transfer is made to the IBAN number provided in the invoices and emails, and that you include the reference number. SEPA direct debit As soon as we have received your invoice from the merchant, we will send you an email with the date for payment collection via SEPA. We will inform you seven days before the collection date about the upcoming payment. We ask you to make sure that the deposited account is sufficiently covered. In case of a rejection, we will send you an email and ask you to transfer the invoice amount. Once there is a rejection, we won´t direct debit the amount the second time. SEPA Direct Debit – Installment invoice As soon as we have received your invoice from the merchant, we will send you further information about the installment plan and the payment procedure. We will inform you seven days before the collection date about the upcoming payment for the installment rate. We ask you to make sure that the deposited account is sufficiently covered. In case of a rejection, we will email you and ask you to transfer the installment rate, as the rejected installment won’t be direct debited again. In case of a second rejection, we will cancel the SEPA direct debit and the entire amount will be due to pay.

Yes, of course. You can pay the invoice at any time within the payment deadline. You will receive confirmation as soon as the payment is received (for a bank transfer, this usually takes 1 to 3 working days). If you selected SEPA Direct Debit as your payment method, the payment collection date is fixed and cannot be changed.

Don’t worry! We will transfer the difference to your bank account and inform you as soon as we’ve made the transfer. If you don’t receive the difference within two weeks, please contact our support team at [email protected]. We will be happy to assist you.

We will keep you informed about your payment status. To avoid reminder fees, please transfer the outstanding payment as soon as possible.

Be sure to check the recipient, IBAN and reference number for your transaction. You can find them in the invoices and the payment details emails. If all the information is correct, you should have received a payment confirmation within three business days of making the payment. Please also check your spam folder. If you have not received a payment confirmation, please contact our support team at [email protected] and attach a payment receipt. We will be happy to help you.

The merchant will send you an invoice with the payment details as a PDF once the order has been shipped. In addition, Mondu will also send you an email with all the payment information. If you have any questions, please contact the merchant directly.

Mondu typically offers payment terms of 30, 45, 60 or 90 days, but ultimately it is the merchant that chooses what payment term to offer to you. You will find the payment term on the invoice we sent you via email. Please pay the entire invoice amount before this period expires. Installment payments Installment payments are offered over 3, 6 or 12 months via SEPA direct debit. The payments occur monthly for the period you select at the time of purchase. The terms and installments payments may vary per merchant.

There can be several reasons why the Mondu payment method was declined, for example: You may have outstanding invoices with Mondu that have exceeded the payment deadline. We were unable to identify your company. The mandatory credit check was unsuccessful.

First step would be double check that all of the information that has been added is correct. If a credit check is unsuccessful a purchase can still be made on a ProForma basis - contact [email protected] for more information

If you would like to partially or entirely return an order, you must follow the return conditions of the retailer. Please contact them directly if you have any questions. If you want to return a product before you’ve made a payment, your invoice will be adjusted accordingly and you will receive an overview of the new payment amount. Please contact the merchant directly to arrange a refund if you have already paid for a product.

You will receive a reminder from Mondu if you have not paid an invoice by the agreed payment deadline. You can find the payment term on the invoice and the payment information email you received from us after placing the order.

If you have a valid reason to pause the dunning process – for example, because the merchant’s delivery is delayed – you can contact our customer service team to request a dunning pause: [email protected].

Please check that you have included the correct bank details in the transfer order you received in the payment information email from Mondu. Also, check the purpose of the transfer. The purpose must match the one we sent you in the payment information email. This is the only way we can match your payment to the correct order.
